Your chance to take a glimpse at work on Preston's newest hotel

There is a real buzz in Preston about Signature Living’s plans for the city centre Shankly Hotel.

And on Thursday July 26 the former Post Office is opening its doors as part of a series of open day events.

The first event will be attended by Chris William Shankly Carline, (pictured) grandson of football legend Bill Shankly, after whom the hotel is named.

It is open to the local business community and runs from 4pm to 5.30pm.

A spokesman for Signature Living said: “To be amongst the first to get a glimpse of our plans for this amazing building, and to meet the grandson of Bill Shankly, register now for free.

“Numbers are limited so please book early.”

The £15m transformation of the building is under way and set for completion by April next year.
