The Golden Ball at Pilling has been put up for sale through agents Fleurets.

The School Lane pub closed in March and was well known for its two bowling greens and beef carvery meals.

The agents say it traded as a community public house, in addition providing food and that the property had the ability to operate private functions.

While they say it continues to have both an alcohol and music licence, whoever buys it may consider a variety of development uses such as residential due to the extensive two acres of grounds it has, subject to planning permission.

The pub, which is a detached two storey red brick built Victorian property with pitched slate roof, has an enclosed beer garden, as well as the bowling greens.

It also has additional land together with detached garage situated in the rear courtyard and car parking for up to 40 vehicles.

No price has been set but offers are invited through Fleurets' Manchester office. Viewings are strictly by appointment only.
