Power cut affects hundreds of Fylde homes

Electricity North West said there had been a fault on the high voltage network affecting 690 properties in the South Shore area.

Power was being restored gradually and was fully back on shortly after 9am

Meanwhile in a separate incident, Fleetwood properties were also affected by a power cut.

Electricity North West tweeted: “We have been made aware of a fault in the area affecting 100 properties. Engineers have been dispatched and are en route now. “
