Plunge into 67, ironically based at 67 Plungington Road, brought collectible items from around the world to its shelves when opened on Saturday, September 5.

Owner Bob Smith, from Preston, was born on the same road as his new business and decided that it would be a good idea for a lockdown project.

He said: "I was actually born on Plungington Road and spent time here as a child. Me and my wife own FiFi's of Wigan that stocks a lot of Harry Potter collectibles. During lockdown I just decided to open another one up and came back to Preston.

"The way I see it now with the pandemic, is people are going to start supporting local businesses and the bigger chains will struggle. People aren't getting out the same and going to their town centers because it is too crowded and dangerous."

Only high quality and licensed goods will be sitting on the shelves in the new collectibles store, that stocks everything from anime to bat man memorabilia.

Bob added: "In my shop I have everything. Going by the customers I have had in since we opened, there have been people who are younger and the older generation. There's the popular classics like Batman and Superman that sells to the older crowd, and then anime for the younger shoppers.
