Next generation of aerospace apprentices taken on in Lancashire
BAE Systems' Military Air and Information business has welcomed some new talent as the latest intake of apprentices and graduates begin their careers with the Company.
The Military Air and Information business has taken on more than 50 graduates, 20 Project Management Higher Apprentices and 31 Engineering Degree Apprentices.
They will work across its sites at Warton and Samlesbury, in Lancashire, Brough, in East Yorkshire and Yeovil, Somerset.
They have joined the company across a variety of different functions.
The new intake includes future engineers, manufacturers, project controllers and procurement staff, among other disciplines.
Andy Bloor, head of Early Careers for BAE Systems’ Military Air and Information business, said: “As a Company, we have a pedigree of investing in our people and our new intake of apprentices and graduates is the latest chapter in this commitment.
“The people who begin their careers with us now will go on to produce the ideas which will continue to drive our business forward.
“I am sure everyone across Military Air and Information will join me in welcoming them to the business.”
This is the second year running that the Military Air and Information business has taken on more than 30 Engineering Degree Apprentices.
They will be based at sites in Warton, Brough and Yeovil, learning skills in aerospace engineering and software engineering.
