Man headbutts staff at Fulwood B&M Bargains after refusing to 'social distance' in store

A man is wanted by police after a member of staff was headbutted at B&M Bargains in Fulwood.

Police have shared a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to after a staff member was headbutted in the store at the weekend.

The staff member, who is reportedly aged in his teens, was attacked at the store at Fulwood Central Retail Park, off Eastway, at around 2.45pm on Sunday (April 19).

According to police, the staff member had been trying to manage social distancing in the store when he was assaulted by the man.

A police spokesman said: "We want to speak to the man in the CCTV about an assault at B&M Bargains, Olivers Place, Fulwood.

"It happened at around 2.45pm on Sunday, April 19.

"This involved a member of staff being headbutted whilst trying to manage social distancing in the store.

"We believe the person in the CCTV could have information which will help our enquiries."
