A popular Italian restaurant in Fulwood is not expected to re-open after it recently closed for refurbishments, its owner has confirmed.
Restaurant owner, Etty Criscenti says he received an offer for the leasehold of the Slice of Sicily site on Garstang Road last week.
The deal for the lease on the restaurant, which has been a popular eatery in Preston since it opened five-years-ago, is expected to be completed soon.

Owner Mr Criscenti said: "We initially closed the restaurant at the end of May for a three week period for refurbishments.
"While we were closed we were approached by a gentleman from Fulwood who was interested in the lease.
"Last week we received an offer which we accepted and we are now in the sale process.
"We do not expect to reopen at the Fulwood site but our restaurant Slice of Sicily is still trading in Penwortham.
"Our Penwortham restaurant is able to deliver to the Fulwood area and is also open for takeaways.
"I believe the new owner plans to open a new restaurant and takeaway business, but I'm not sure what kind of food will be sold.
"All I know is he is planning a revamp of the premises.
"I'd like to thank all our loyal customers who have helped support our Fulwood restaurant over the past five years."
The lease was offered for sale via agents Alan J Picken for around £310,000, in January.
The agents confirmed an offer had been made, but were currently unable to disclose any more information at this time.
The news comes after the Garstang branch closed for business in March over maintenance issues with the building.
Mr Criscenti said: "We decided to hand back the lease to the leaseholder at our Garstang site in March over issues with the building.
"It was a very old building, walls were crumbling, the toilets weren't working and we spent a lot of our own money trying to fix the place.
"Business at the site was actually good, but we didn't want to keep spending our money on the building."
Etty Criscenti first opened Slice of Sicily in Penwortham 14 years ago.
