A Preston interiors firm has won a national award as its showroom is expanded

A Preston interiors specialist has picked up a national design award and is set to unveil its expanded showroom.

Roccia Tiles, Bathrooms and Kitchens has secured the Show Space of the Year title at Designer Awards 2020.

The event was hosted by Designerati magazine with the aim of showcasing the best in home interior design.

Roccia competed against multiple retailers from across the UK to bring the trophy home to Preston.

The Show Space of the Year award acknowledges excellence in showrooms and display spaces. On announcing the win for Roccia, the judges praised the impressive displays for tiles, bathrooms and kitchen at the Preston showroom.

Roccia has been in business for over 25 years aims to give customers a “buying experience like no other” with products to suit every budget.

In 2019 it won the Business of the Year title at the BIBAs.

Managing director Zabir Patel, said: “We are delighted to win such a prestigious national award. This achievement as well as all the other awards is a recognition of the hard work our staff have put in particularly throughout the last five years.”

Roccia has been working throughout the last year on an expansion project at their showroom off Queen Street, which saw its floor space increase from 27,000 sqft to 38,500 sqft.

Mr Patel added: “We have recently expanded our show space to offer visitors the most sought after kitchen brands in the world. So when combined with our existing bathroom and tile display, our showroom really does encompass everything that our customers need for their home space.”

With the additional space Roccia introduced kitchen brands such as Valcucine, Cesar, and Jacob and Sons. The new space is now home to independent Italian furniture emporium Scossa, and Internorm doors and windows.

Mr Patel said: “We have worked tirelessly on the showroom expansion and we are pleased to announce it is almost ready for an official launch.

“The expansion has further solidified our showroom’s position as the largest independent tile, bathroom and kitchen showroom in the UK.”
