Opening date for Preston's new Burger King confirmed

A new fast-food franchise is just days away from opening its doors in Fulwood Central Retail Park – with 30 new jobs being created in the local area.

Fulwood Central retail park, off Oliver's Place, has become the latest home of the Whopper, with a brand-new Burger King set to open its doors on Monday, November 30.

1000 free Whoppers, limited to 200 per day, will be up for grabs from Monday, November 30 to Friday, December 4 to celebrate the restaurant's opening.

Alasdair Murdoch, CEO Burger King UK, explained: "We know the people of Preston love the great-tasting food of Burger King, so we've listened to their requests and are very excited to bring all their favourites to their neighbourhood.

The restaurant will create 30 new jobs, including five managers and 25 crew members, and will also have a drive-thu option for customers.

Burger King says they have a number of procedures in place to "safeguard the health employees and customers."

These include additional PPE such as masks and gloves for staff, stringent cleaning measures, contactless delivery options via Deliveroo and all staff are "comprehensively trained on the Government’s social distancing measures" – including how to run kitchens hygienically, while abiding by them.
