"We have therefore invested our loyalty scheme in wider areas of the stores to allow us to reward more customers."

A 5% reward will be introduced on 1000s of products including store cupboard luxuries and essentials, frozen food, health & beauty and household.

You simply have to look for a special symbol of a coin and a piggy bank which indicates qualifying products.

Along with this you can still enjoy their weekend newspaper offer but the minimum spend will now go up from £15 to £25.

Booths say they wanted to keep this benefit alongside the 5% reward and in order to do this, they have had to the increase spend.

You'll also be offered a free slice of cake in their cafés on your birthday when you buy a drink, exclusive café deals, regular in store complimentary products and regular money off vouchers.

You need not take any action; your card will automatically switch over on 2 September.
