The Winckley Square Business Hangout takes place in the gardens of Winckley Square (pictured), on Friday, September 21.
Hosted by the NWL Chamber of Commerce and Preston Business Improvement District (BID), the event is aimed at showcasing Winckley Square as the commercial hub of the city centre and encouraging informal networking.
Mark Whittle, BID manager, said: “We all know that Winckley Square is a gem in Preston’s crown and by hosting the Hangout event there we are working to showcase its continual improvement.
“The Hangout is an incredibly popular event, even more so now with the huge investment in the Square.

“We try and break the norm of networking, so there’s no name badges, no delegate lists, just the movers and shakers in local business getting together and forging working relationships – this particular event will be even more special as we help to launch the Lancashire Encounter.”
The event will see the return of the ‘Hangout’ line where businesses can pin up information on what their business does and seek partners in other sectors.
Mr Whittle said the method has already connected numerous local businesses seeking to buy and sell products and services.
