Christmas (yes, Christmas!) is on its way to Preston
It may still be the height of summer '“ but Preston business chiefs are already planning for Christmas.

And true to form, leaders at Preston Business Improvement District aren’t giving too much away.
Just the date - Saturday November 24 will be the date of the Christmas concert and lights switch-on.
The highly popular event, featuring live acts and celebrities, takes months of planning.
Preston BID tweeted this week: “Don’t flinch, but we’ve been working on Christmas activities today, including the Christmas Concert and Switch On.

It is expected to start at around 5.30pm.
The BID is selecting its radio station partner this week, and is already in talks with artists, plus working with some key city brands coming on board as sponsors.
Last year the Christmas show featured Steve McFadden, aka soap hardman Phil Mitchell, and appearances including Union J, The Drifters’ Ray Lewis, and CBeebies’ Katy Ashworth.
