Today (April 22), officers confirmed Gordon, of Selborne Street, was jailed for 42 months after being convicted of two counts of possessing a Class A drug with intent to supply, two counts of possessing a Class B drug, assaulting an emergency worker and escaping from lawful custody.

PC Nicola James, of the Blackburn with Darwen and Hyndburn Taskforce, said: "I welcome the sentence and I am pleased that the people of Blackburn will get some much needed respite from Gordon’s criminality.

When police went back to Gordon’s property to arrest him, he reportedly tried to get rid of a bag containing 36 smaller bags of cannabis.

In an attempt to evade police, Gordon climbed onto the roof of his house before running along the row of terraced houses.

After eventually jumping into an alleyway, Gordon threw the female officer against a wall, a bin and onto the floor.

"I would like to praise my colleagues in the neighbourhood policing team, task force and the targeted crime team for helping to bring Gordon to justice," PC Nicola James added.
