The band, who play The Continental on Sunday October 19, have recently opened for US blues star Joe Bonamassa, Deep Purple, The John Butler Trio and have completed two tours with Status Quo.

The band have recorded two well received albums since 2010 – the debut New Breed and 2012’s Breakfree – and toured with some of the biggest names in blues rock.

Bonamassa is a confirmed fan, saying: “Wille is a superb slide player, I love what these guys are doing.”

Willie & the Bandits’ music covers a wide range of genres, from rock to world music to blues and roots.

They are renowned for creating an astonishingly huge sound for a trio.

The band, who play The Continental as part of a 16 date UK tour, have now put their live sound to disc with ‘Live in Gouvy’.

The album will only be available at live shows throughout the UK tour in October.

Willie & the Bandits play at The Continental on Sunday October 19 from 7.30pm.
