Since they found fame on their 1970s TV series, Sit Thi Deawn, the Weavers have now been entertaining audiences for over 38 years with their family friendly anecdotes, jokes and live music.

Still led by founder member David Littler, who lives in Ingol, Preston, they attract a dedicated legion of fans and shows often feel like family affairs with the stars trading banter with an audience they have got to know very well.

They return to the seafront venue, formerly Morecambe’s railway station, with their inimitable blend of comedy and song to give their audience a nostalgic treat with plenty of singing along encouraged.

Doors open at 8pm and tickets for the show are still on sale, priced at £14 or £13 and available from the Platform’s box office on 01524 582803.

The group contributed a lovely version of their festive song Bless Your Whiskers, Father Christmas to the LEP’s Sing A Song For Christmas musical advent calendar.
