We Are Scientists to return to Preston
The band, led by founding members Keith Murray and Chris Cain, have an oddly special relationship with this city after performing intimate preview shows here in the past.
They had already played two gigs at 53 Degrees when, in 2008, they gave a super intimate show at the Kolor Bar in Church Street’s Bull and Royal, where Charles Dickens once stayed.

Later that year, they returned for another packed acoustic show at Action Records, then revisited the following week to play their third rammed show on the main stage at 53 Degrees.
At their second 53 Degrees show they were supported by a then relatively unknown Pigeon Detectives who return tomorrow to 53 Degrees for their own sold-out show.
Keith Murray and Chris Cain first met at college at an impromptu dorm-room viewing of Dawson’s Creek. They have been through various drummers since original timekeeper Michael Tapper quit in 2007. Now on the drum stool is ex-Razorlight man Andy Burrows.
