Vaccines date aims to cure the winter blues

Platinum selling indie band the Vaccines are to play a huge date at Blackpool’s Empress Ballroom as part of a nationwide tour.

The West Londoners will be promoting their new album English Graffiti when they perform at the venue on November 10.

The Vaccines formed in 2010, with frontman Justin Young, lead guitarist Freddie Cowan, bassist Árni Árnason, and drummer Pete Robertson scoring success early on.

Their debut album What Did You Expect from the Vaccines? reached the top five and the band eventually finished third in the BBC’s Sound of 2011 poll.

Their following album Come of Age did even better, topping the album charts in 2012

The following year, the band performed a sold-out show at London’s huge 02 Arena.the band finishing third in the BBC’s Sound of 2011 poll.

The band release their forthcoming third album, which was recorded in New York, on May 25.
