Trio get in harmony for conclusion of war-themed musical tour

Set in World War One, it tells the extraordinary true story of Dorothy Lawrence, a women’s amazing journey into the heart of a man’s war told through songs of the time, from much-loved favourites to forgotten gems, performed live by the UK’s leading female vocal harmony trio.

“Dorothy’s War” will be performed at the Salmesbury War Memorial Hall, Sunday April 19 at 8pm (doors 7.30pm), tickets are available directly from the venue box office by calling 01772 877248.

The trio, made up of Georgina Locke, Jessica Samuel and Charlotte Jones, are professional singers who specialise in Andrews Sister style arrangements which gave gained them immense popularity. They will finish their tour at Salmesbury, following their shows at Arkholme Village Hall Thursday March 26 (8pm), Bleasdale Parish Hall Friday March 27 (7:30pm) and Bolton-By-Bowland Village Hall Saturday March 28 (8pm - doors 7.15pm). These Lancashire dates form part of Spot On Lancashire’s Spring season of rural touring.

Speaking ahead of the Spot On dates, Charlotte Jones described her excitement: “It’s great to be back touring our new show with Spot On as we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves when touring our last one. As our shows are designed with rural touring in mind we always love how accommodating, enthusiastic and engaged the audience is.

“We can’t wait to perform to the new venues and return to old friends!”

Spot On Lancashire work in partnership with over 200 volunteers and pop up in over 50 different small places each year, in order to allow smaller rural communities to enjoy high quality live arts events on their doorstep.
