Tom Jones heading to Lancs

Tom Jones will perform at next year’s Lytham Proms Weekend, it was announced today.

The Welsh-born superstar will appear on Saturday, August 2.

Tom, who will be appearing again as a mentor on the hit BBC1 programme The Voice in the New Year, is the first headline act of the event’s fifth year.

Tickets for his show go on sale on Monday.

Tom, who has sold over 100 million records worldwide, continues to attract huge audiences across the globe.

He said: “I am absolutely delighted to be performing at Lytham Proms, it promises to be a really special occasion and it’s great to be returning to the Fylde coast.

“It’s been a long time coming and we’re all going to have a fantastic night!”

Festival director Peter Taylor said: “What a way to mark our fifth anniversary, with an international music legend.

“It’s a great coup for the festival weekend and we’ll be announcing more great acts in the New Year.”

Tickets for Tom’s show will go on sale at 10am on Monday, December 23 online at www.ticketline.co.uk or by calling 0844 888 9991. Also a limited allocation of tickets will be available for customers in person at Lowther Pavilion Box Office, Lytham.

Tickets are £37.50 per person, if booked before December 31, and £42.50 thereafter.

From July 26 tickets will then be £50 per person. Children are half price and under fives are admitted free. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a full paying adult.
