The Blackpool Tower Dungeon’s festive season is unveiling its new show, The White Ghost, in its abandoned chapel.

The horrifying yet hilarious 60-minute actor-led show restages the tale of Elizabeth, who has been sighted repeatedly during the tower’s 119-year history.

Her story started on December 22 1894, when a Norwegian vessel mistook the then newly-opened Blackpool Tower for a lighthouse and wrecked just off shore.

It’s believed by some that her fiancée was on board, who she was set to marry that festive season, but he never came back and Elizabeth died of a broken heart waiting for his return that very same year.

However, there are others who believe he decided to escape a lifetime of monogamy and was never washed up on the Fylde coast!

Now The Blackpool Tower Dungeon is asking for locals to share their stories of sightings of the infamous white lady by emailing [email protected].
