Von Trapps flee from Charter

The summer will come alive with the sound of music at Preston’s Charter Theatre later this month, with a new production of that famous musical.

Award-winning Nogal Productions, above, present Rodgers and Hammerstein’s epic story of Maria and the Von Trapps and it is sure to be a show for all the family to enjoy.

Based on the memoirs of Maria von Trapp herself, ‘The Story of the Trapp Family Singers’, many songs have become standards.

Expect to hear ‘Edelweiss’, ‘My Favorite Things’, ‘Climb Ev’ry Mountain’, ‘Do-Re-Mi’, not forgetting the eternally famous, endlessly spoofed title song.

The show runs for four nights from Wednesday July 30 to Saturday August 2.

The curtain goes up at 7.30pm each evening and there is a Saturday matinee at 2pm.
