Tomorrow’s avant garde today
The Live at LICA theatre season, on Lancaster University campus, starts next week with British avant-garde theatre pioneers Forced Entertainment and their new show Tomorrow’s Parties, a playful look to the future.
This new play about two men meeting in middle age is performed by award-winning theatremakers Tim Crouch and Andy Smith on Thursday.
Crouch, also an experienced exponent of Shakespeare for young people, also presents his one-man show I, Malvolio on October 18-19. This re-imagining of Twelfth Night is presented as part of the regionwide Big Imaginations Festival of performance for young people.
The festival also includes H20’s Helios which invites the audience to experience water in all its visual and acoustic glory on October 26.
