The Chorley-based CADOS amateur theatre group invites you to share a typical family Christmas - involving the relatives you hardly ever see, the daughter’s weird boyfriend, the potty neighbours, and the carol singers who can’t sing...

When they all pay a visit to the household, there’s no escape, in this new adaptation of Mike Harding’s comedy set over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

The story follows Martin (Alan Levesley)and Margaret (Karen Miller) as they prepare a great family get-together, looking forward to reuniting with a long-lost relative and cooking the perfect Christmas dinner.

But inappropriate presents and culinary disasters abound in a CADOS play directed by Kath Ashworth and produced by Kath Townsend, as long-buried resentments rear their ugly heads as the alcohol flows, tongues are loosened and unexpected visitors crash the party.

With down-to-earth Lancashire humour, a dose of slapstick, all with a festive theme, the play is full of painfully amusing familiar situations and characters you know... or would dread to meet!

The cast also includes Alan Pearson, Rebecca Dickinson, Moyra Welch, Rod Moore, Barry Ashworth, Sharon Elder, Zoe Hale, Robert Walsh, Rene Clitheroe and Kevin Rosental.
