South Pacific washes up in South Ribble
St Ambrose Players stage their take on Rodgers and Hammerstein ‘s South Pacific musical until Saturday at the Leyland church this week.
Based on James A Michener’s 1947 book Tales of the South Pacific, this is a true classic of the theatre, and never fails to endear itself to audiences of all ages.
Centring on an American nurse stationed on a South Pacific island during the Second World War. Containing classic songs like Some Enchanted Evening and I’m Gonna Wash That Man Right Outta My Hair, the show runs until Saturday, May 23, with tickets from Grandad Jim’s Sweet Shop on Chapel Brow and priced at £8.50 for adults and £6.50 concessions (OAP concessions Tuesday and Saturday).
