For its summer production, at St Ambrose Church Hall, Moss Lane, Leyland, THE ST AMBROSE PLAYERS, right, present Philip King’s hilarious comedy, POOLS PARADISE, featuring the same characters from his celebrated See How They Run.

The action takes place in the vicarage of the village of Merton-cum-Middlewick. Vicar’s wife Penelope has been enticed by Ida, the maid and her doltish boyfriend Willie into a flutter on the football pools – which seem to have come up trumps.

Tickets £7. Concessions £5 from the Box Office at Grandad Jim’s Traditional Sweet Shop, 37 Chapel Brow, Leyland.
