Medicine goes down a treat

Theatre company Illyria come to the hall after a marathon summer tour covering 127 days and 84 performances.

George’s Marvellous Medicine has drawn big audiences all over the country and Illyria’s artistic director Oliver Gray feels the cast of five are on top form.

He said: “They love the setting and the acoustics at Lytham Hall and always find the Red Rose audience is one of the most responsive on the tour.”

Open air theatre organiser Julian Wilde is pleased with the season so far and believes George’s Marvellous Medicine will bring Lytham’s outdoor series to a happy conclusion.

“I think George will be one of Illyria’s best shows and it will complement all the other attractions such as Sir Tom Jones, Michael Ball and the Halle Orchestra at the Proms.”

Tickets are priced £13 for adults, senior citizens,students £10, school children £6.50 .
