The historian, activist and writer returns to the Little Theatre, Saturday 24th May, with his latest tour Mark Steel’s ‘Back In Town’.

A little like Michael Portillo’s Railway Journey’s, only without the baggage of having once been the Nation’s number one Tory hate figure, Steel’s radio show has put dozens of UK towns on the map.

First broadcast in 2009, Mark Steel’s In Town is recorded in small towns across the country, with each episode tailored to the town it is recorded in and performed in front of a local audience.

Although the Chorley date will not be broadcast, the show will follow the same procedure, and a hilarious outsider’s look at the area’s past, present and people is in store.

Tickets are £15 and on sale now from Malcolm’s Musicland 01257 264362 or via SeeTickets and WeGotTickets (from Monday morning).

The following weekend surreal humorist Alex Horne – star of Radio 4’s The Horne Section and co-host/creator (with Mark Watson) of We Need Answers visits the Little Theatre.

Tickets £12, as above.
