Jason, who organises the events, but will not be performing himself, says Ribby Hall is an ideal venue – situated between Preston and Blackpool.

His first comedy Comedy Club at Ribby Hall took place in April, and bosses say it is as popular as ever.

Jason said: “Once you get in to North West England, after Liverpool and Manchester it is very difficult to find good local comedy at an affordable price.

“The great thing about this venue is it can hold more than 300 people, which means we can really compete with the big clubs in the main northern cities, to make sure we only bring the best acts.

“I’ve carefully selected some of my favourite comedians. There’s nothing like live comedy!”

Susan Milburn, Ribby Hall Village business and banqueting manager said: “We’ve enjoyed working with Manford’s comedy Club since April this year, hosting the event once a month.

“We think the comedy club on December 14 would be a great alternative for a Christmas party or festive social get-together.

The first of Jason Manford’s Comedy Club nights saw MC Ray Peacock, London stand-up Tiffany Stevenson, comedian and freestyle rapper Chris Turner and Lakes-based funnyman Mike Wilkinson.
