Getting to the bottom of Beckett

The play is at the Charter Theatre from Thursday October 1 to Saturday 3, and on the first night the cast will return to the stage after the performance for an audience Q&A.

En Attendant Godot premiered at the Theatre de Babylone, Paris, in 1953 and was first produced in the UK as Waiting for Godot at the Arts Theatre in London two years later. Despite one of the main characters observing that “Nothing happens, nobody comes, nobody goes,” the story of two tramps waiting for their future has been voted the most significant English play of the 20th Century.

The London Classic Theatre production is directed by Michael Cabot, while Jonathan Ashley, Peter Cadden, Richard Heap, Michael Keane and Sonja Zobel will bring Beckett’s vision to life.
