It’s the provocative puppet show for grown-ups that has scooped up awards on both sides of the Atlantic.

Director and choreographer Cressida Carré says: “Avenue Q is wacky and fun, appealing to teenagers and adults alike with its musical ‘tongue in cheek’ take on Sesame Street.

“For me the challenge is not only directing the actors but also the puppets! ”

Avenue Q is a laugh-out-loud musical that tells the story of recent college graduate Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment.

There he meets Kate Monster (the girl next door), Rod (the Republican), Trekkie Monster (the internet sexpert), Lucy the Slut and other colourful characters who help him finally discover his true purpose in life...

It runs from Tuesday to Saturday with a Saturday matinee.
