On Saturday, Jo Caulfield returns to the venue she sold out in 2011 with a new show.

Audiences can expect razor-sharp observations and one-liners as Jo shares her opinions on everything from women who always pick the wrong partner, to men who continually quote gangster films, and the growth of passive-aggressive corporate friendliness.

As it’s Valentine’s Day, she’ll open up about a romantic break that almost ended in divorce and explains why her husband could never be a serial killer.

On Sunday, Gary Delaney, right, makes his debut at the theatre. This is the full tour show, which debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe and is packed full of visual gags on the theatre’s big screen, as well as the trademark one-liners for which he is famous.

People should not expect a voyage of discovery, narrative or whimsy, just lots of jokes. The show sold out every night of its Fringe run and clocked plenty of four and five star reviews.

Both shows from 8pm. Tickets £14/£12 for Jo Caulfield, £12 for Gary Delaney at Malcolm’s Musicland on 01257 264362 or via www.chorleytheatre.com
