My Big Fat Cow Pat Wedding features Clare and Arjun’s wedding reception, celebrating the marriage between a woman from the country and a man from the city.

The fast-moving comedy is full of misunderstandings and mishaps with plenty of twists and even a disco/bhangra dance for everyone to join in with at the end.

The play is a light-hearted exploration of relationships across the divides of rural and urban, race and gender.

It will be performed at Croston Old School on Friday and Euxton Parish Church Community Centre on Saturday.

Having toured parts of the UK this month, the play has already received rave reviews.

My Big Fat Cow Pat Wedding has been specifically commissioned by and for rural touring schemes and the Croston performance forms part of Spot On Lancashire’s rural touring autumn season.

“It really is great fun and let’s face it, everyone loves a good wedding don’t they?”

The play is written by Sayan Kent, and is a co-production between Kali Theatre Company, Arts Alive and Black Country Touring.

The current production is directed by Janet Steel and Steve Johnstone, and stars Aimee Berwick, Sheena Patel, Graeme Rose and Aaron Virdee.
