A Christmas fun round up

The Dukes will be screening White Christmas (U) starring Bing Crosby in an event designed for people with dementia and their families, with changes to lighting and sound to ensure a comfortable environment.

In the interval, Lancaster Male Voice Choir will leada Christmas sing-a-long.

Families can enjoy Yuletide Tales courtesy of Theatre by Numbers on a festive North West mini tour this week.

Fun with Christmas crafts precedes a story telling session based on the tale of Rose who, with her minstrel companion, Rafe, has collected many stories on her travels through far off lands.

They come first to the Cafe D’Art, Chapel Lane, Formby, this Saturday, then to the Castle Hotel, Oldham Street, Manchester, on Sunday.

They visit Preston for two sessions, on Friday December 20 at 5pm and again on Saturday December 21 at 3pm.

A Christmas collaboration of folk music stars will perform a special concert of traditional ghost stories at Kendal Brewery tomorrow.

Crow’s Bones is a live concert of ghost stories old and new brought to life by folk luminaries including Lau accordionist Martin Green, Becky Unthank from The Unthanks and Inge Thomson from the Karine Polwart band.
