Sunbathe on Tower deckchairs

Blackpool Tower is to promote its new 400ft high deckchair service by dishing out free ice cream for kids and free strawberries and champagne for grown ups who use it this weekend.

The Blackpool Tower Eye – a viewing deck 400ft above the resort – recently launched its deck chair hire service, the highest in the UK.

And, as temperatures soar again this weekend, they are throwing in the free treats to help customers cool off.

There will also be a paddling pool – and no worries of overcrowding as only five people at a time are admitted – making this a highly exclusive sunbathing experience.

Blackpool Tower general manager Kate Shane said: “The views from the top of the Tower are magnificent, especially on a clear summer’s 
day.”

Deckchair hire is £25 per person per hour.
