Sports Fest aims to get us more active
Preston Sports Festival, a three-week event organised by Preston Sports Forum in conjunction with Greenwich Leisure Limited, starts Saturday November 4, running for three weeks.
The festival sees 12 sports clubs from a range of sports including football, basketball, running, climbing and trampolining, open their doors to the people of all ages in ‘come and try for free’ sessions.

Sports Development Officer at Greenwich Leisure Limited, Jessica Clegg, said: “Because of the I Am Team GB success last year we wanted to offer open sessions for people to come and try a new sport.
“After the Olympics we had about 200 new people trying new sports across Preston. It’s definitely something I wanted to do again.”
The 24-year-old added: “A lot of people don’t necessarily know that these local clubs exist on their doorsteps, so it’s good for them as well.
