A sensational fun day is planned on the River Lune at Halton Army Training Camp in Halton Road, just north of the city (LA2 6LW).

There will be a host of water sports at the event, but if you’re all watered out, there’s also loads to do on dry land, including a fairground, bouncy castles, climbing walls, our very own duck village and a number of other attractions, food exhibitions and stalls.

Some of the highlights include the dragon boat races and our renowned duck race heats.

The finish line of our races will be in sight of the magnificent arches of the Lune Aqueduct, carrying the Lancaster canal over the river, Britain’s largest masonry aqueduct and a great backdrop to the event.

Entry to the event is by duck! Yes, that’s right, by duck! Each duck gives entry on the day for 1 adult and 1 child.

You buy a small souvenir duck (go to www.aquaducked.co.uk/events/lancaster/ for details of how to register and buy) and 65% of the profits will be donated to one of AquaDucked’s partner charities – Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care and CLIC Sargent for Children and Young People with Cancer.

All ducks are priced at £9.99, but don’t forget, with every duck bought, you get a free entry for one adult and one child to AquaDucked’s family fun day.

But it doesn’t stop there, you also get a free entry into an AquaDucked duck race, where you could win a luxury Caribbean cruise for two people.

There’s also a heap of other prizes to get your hands on, so what are you waiting for, head on over to AquaDucked now and buy a duck for charity!
