The whirl around the jukebox stars rock legend Mark Wynter – fresh from his run in the show at London’s Wyndham’s Theatre.

Mark was hardly out of the charts from August 1960 until the end of 1963, with nine single hits and 80 weeks on the hit parade.

In the mid ‘60s he made his debut in musicals in Phil the Fluter at London’s Palace Theatre and, in his words, fell in love with musicals.

He never returned to pop, and went on to enjoy success in Charlie Girl, Phantom of the Opera, Cats, South Pacific and many more.

Dreamboats and Petticoats is set in 1961, when musicians Norman and Bobby compete to win a song writing contest – and also the attentions of Sue. Until Saturday. Box office: 01253 743339 or blackpoolgrand.co.uk
