To kick off the nights veteran punks The Pink Torpedoes make their grand return to the Friargate pub after last year’s packed gig.

Formed in 1988 and celebrating their 25th Anniversary, the group (right, then and now) bring what they describe as a ‘nearly’ original’ line-up with returning drummer Mark Booth, lead vocalist and bass Keith Halliday, lead guitarGuy Woodhall and UK Nige on rhythm. Drawing on the sound of The Ramones, Sex Pistols and The Clash, The Pink Torpedoes continue to make a great noise, and a spokesman for the band said new recorded material is on its way.

Supporting the Torpedoes are Preston homeboys ‘Ten Stretch’ – just in case you feel your punk needs are still not met.

An afternoon of ferocious guitar, shouting and drinks awaits. From 4pm, free entry.
