Taken from the book by Joe DiPietro, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change ran for 12 years in New York before the rest of the world discovered it and made it a hit.

With music and lyrics by Jimmy Roberts, it stars four performers - Michael Cosgrove, Vicki Forrester, Samantha Hilton and Gaz Jenkins.

We watch as the four become literally dozens of characters in a series of loosely linked sketches dealing with all aspects of the complicated details of love and relationships.

The play, which opens tomorrow and runs until Saturday, with performances each night at 7.30pm, is a studio production by Chorley Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society, who own the Dole Lane theatre.

Studio productions, while on a smaller scale than CADOS full productions, are staged to the same high standards as their regular shows.

They allow the amateur company to explore new works and try something a little different that they think their audiences will like.

This is the first musical CADOS have staged in five years - the last was in 2009.

Directed by Paul Carr and with musical direction from Wayne Oakes, this show deals with everything you have ever secretly thought about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives and in-laws - with adult themes, strong language - and lots of infectious tunes.

Tickets are £7, still available from Malcolm’s Musicland on 01257 264362 or online at www,
