This last week has been a busy one yet very productive!

It started out with me hitting a target on an online fund raiser I have for set up to raise money for a friends funeral who passed away. I am blown away by the support we have received and we have raised over three thousand pounds that will more than cover costs. It is a group effort between five of us who have helped but I have been the one plugging Facebook and twitter all week so it has been very time consuming with all the questions coming in about it.

You would think the above would keep me busy enough but I finally got the keys to the Preston City Wrestling Academy on St Marys Street, Preston on Wednesday. I have spent pretty much most of the remaining time last week getting the Academy unit set up. I did have it planned that it would take two months for me to get it all ready but with various delays in the planning permission side of things I now have a ten day turnaround before it opens. After a crazy five days the academy is now actually set up. Only a few things to order like banners for the mock TV studio and I want a good chair for behind my desk to make me look like a real boss of something! The walls also need to be painted up by a local artist to make it look more than just a room.

This week is going to be another busy one, not like I ever have anything but busy anyway these days. Friday 23rd January I have a show in aid of one of our wrestlers Kris Travis who is battling cancer. Talent from all over the UK and even former WWE Star Chris Masters is working for free in aid of raising money for a guy who is not well enough to work while he is going through chemotherapy. All the ticket money goes to Kris and we have raised about ten thousand up to now and hope to get it to around fifteen thousand pounds. Such a great sum of money but it should help him have one less worry other than how to pay his bills while he goes through a tough time. If you want more details or to order a ticket for the show go to www.prestoncitywrestling.com or you can pay on the doors.
