Its been a busy month working long days as it’s the time of the year where I have some big shows approaching but additionally having to juggle time to book next years show dates, agree new deals for my current talent and source new international talent and also manage the PCW Academy.

Regarding the Academy, it just goes from strength to strength. We now have over 50 full time students signed up and classes are five days a week. We take in students every six months and the next intake is February 2016. We have ten already signed up for the next intake date, including two from New Zealand who are coming to the UK just to train in the academy. Next year we take it to the next level and the Academy shows begin. January 23rd we start our live Academy shows using students that have learned to wrestle in our facility. Tickets are just £5 and last time I checked there was around ten tickets remaining.

The year is almost over and there is just six PCW shows remaining before my much needed two month break. I have a heavy promotional campaign set for the final shows so with a good pre sale I expect a very good if not sell out attendances. With tens of thousands of flyers to distribute and a few thousand posters its going to be a long month. Right now I average around the 15 hour mark for my working day and manage on about 5 hours sleep a night so as this month goes on I can see myself being not the most patient person and no doubt drive the wife crazy.

I would like to mention a big part of the PCW family has announced his retirement from wrestling this last month. Kris Travis is in a big way responsible for PCW reaching the highs it has reached due to his show stealing matches and love from the fans. Kris recently won his battle with cancer and returned to the ring in an emotional fashion. Sadly just one month later has decided that his body can not cope with the physical demands of wrestling and has made the right call in putting his health first. Kris will always be welcome at PCW and I will find him a role with the company should he ever want to come back to work here in a non wrestling capacity.

Finally being a born and raised Prestonian the Guild Hall has always been a special kind of venue being the biggest in the City. It looks like PCW will be running a show there in 2016 so I am looking forward to packing it out. Its been quite a year with over 6000 turning out for our Armed Forces Day show and over 3000 coming to our show in the Blackpool Winter Gardens which was not only our debut in Blackpool but our first real event outside of Preston. I can not wait to return and hopefully make Blackpool a PCW town as it is with Preston.

Our next shows take place in Preston with two on October 31st (fancy dress welcome) featuring WWE Legend Ricky The Dragon Steamboat, current WWE NXT Star Rhino, Mickie James, Magnus, Scotty 2 Hotty and many more international stars. To round up an amazing year PCW ends with four shows over the weekend of November 27th when top USA wrestling company Ring Of Honor comes to the UK for some exclusive shows with PCW in Preston.
