It surprises me to think I am now four years in and still my company is on the rise. The wrestling business is like no other and it has taken over my life. I thrive on the dynamic environment and the ever changing landscape of the wrestling business. The previous years spent in the hospitality business helped give me the man management skills and organisational skills that help me in wrestling, but the repetitive environment was mind numbing. At school I had no idea what career path was the right one for me but right now I feel blessed for finding something that I really do excel in.

Friday’s show had an amazing atmosphere. With a thousand people in the building, I have never heard the fans so vocal. With an international dream match in Samoa Joe vs Dave Mastiff, Drew Galloway vs Noam Dar putting fans through an emotional roller coaster and finally Kris Travis vs Sha Samuel’s in what was Kris’s return to wrestling after a twelve month battle with cancer. There was not a dry eye in the house when Kris Travis made his entrance and you could feel the genuine emotion in the room.

I now cast my attention to our Blackpool debut on August 29th. Blackpool BID have paid for a live Preston City Wrestling show and I aim to do them proud. With former WWE Tag Team duo named Too Cool in addition to former WWE and now TNA stars Ken Anderson and Mickie James. Also in action are former TNA Champion Magnus and former TNA Tag Team Champions The Wolves. If you have no idea what I am talking about then please Google the names of these people. Having been a wrestling fan for years and following the UK scene I have never known a show with this level of talent for free, well I know of two but I put both of those on in Preston. Yes I mentioned free, no catch just turn up before 1pm to the area between St Johns Church and Blackpool Winter Gardens and the entire show is completely free.

Also in closing if anybody has any desire to learn to wrestle then check out the PCW Academy (there is a link on our website to the Facebook page). We open our doors to new students only twice a year as there is a big demand for places. The price of training covers three classes per week that last around two hours each session (Monday, Wednesday 7.30pm & Saturday 11am). The fees are paid every four weeks and is only fifty pounds. So for the price of a night out drinking you can have a full month of us helping you with your wrestling skills, character development, confident speaking and team work. I have watched my current crop of students go from shy and nervous to confident and committed, and look forward to helping more people pursue their dreams.
