A huge 16-man knockout tournament gets underway on Friday, offering the winner a shot at the PCW Heavyweight Championship.

Del Rio takes on one half of the PCW Tag Team Champions, T-Bone.

Son of the noted luchador Dos Caras and a nephew of Mil Máscaras, Del Rio, real name José Alberto Rodríguez, is part of one of the most well-known Mexican wrestling families.

He captured four world titles during a four-year tenure with WWE, during which time he also won the 2011 Royal Rumble.

T-Bone meanwhile is a former PCW Heavyweight Champion and a part of the seemingly unconquerable Team Single.

PCW Cruiserweight Champion Bubblegum faces Manchester’s Ashton Smith and Yorkshire’s Martin Kirby takes on an as-yet unconfirmed opponent.

Two former PCW Heavyweight Champions will be in the ring when long-time rivals Lionheart and Joey Hayes square off.

Gabriel, a former WWE Tag Team Champion, will have to be at his best to defeat ‘The Mexican Sensation’ El Ligero.

The juggernaut Dave Mastiff takes on the East End butcher Sha Samuels.

The other half of the PCW Tag Team Champions, Team Single’s Rampage Brown, tackles Matt Hardy, who along with his brother Jeff redefined tag team wrestling in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

In a match that promises to be a whirlwind of action, Morrison, who lit up PCW when he visited Preston in 2012, duels with ‘The Aerial Assassin’ William Ospreay.

The next two shows will feature matches resulting from the initial bouts.
