NYJO, one of Britain’s longest running and most successful ensembles for people under 25, gave a terrific performance on their last visit to LICA three years ago.

The band features musicians and vocalists from around the country, most of who go on to become professional musicians. Alumni include Guy Barker, Mark Nightingale and Amy Winehouse.

Founded by Bill Ashton OBE in 1965, members are encouraged to write their own arrangements and compositions, thereby creating a diverse repertoire to draw from in addition to classic big-band standards.
