Music grows More in Hothouse
Community group More Music’s new season in Morecambe sees prog-folk band Moulettes return to the Hothouse a fourth time next Saturday (September 19).
Previous performances have won new fans every time and a sell-out is expected.
Meanwhile, Mercury Music nominee Sam Lee performs at the Hothouse on October 17. A collector of traditional folk songs and acclaimed songwriter in his own right, he will also be running a workshop on his musical methods the following day.
On October 24, Senegalese kora player Seckou Keita makes a first visit. Considered the most influential musician of his generation, Keita will play songs from new album 22 Strings.
Acclaimed jazz quartet Partisans perform on November 21, described by BBC Radio Jazz on 3 as one of the most exciting all-star experimental groups in jazz today.
On December 5, Canadian trio The East Pointers bring their musicianship and love for traditional Celtic music to the venue.
