Another great night at BJ’s Rock in the Blues Club with Lancashire-based rhythm and blues band The Marauders back to rock the joint.

Fronting on vocals and harmonica was Chris ‘Wizz’ Gee, with Pete Konnanov on guitar. The powerhouse rhythm section of Andy Schemet on bass and Jon Lowe on drums completed the line-up.

Kicking off the evening in great style with Bo Diddley’s I Can Tell, then on to a bit of the Wolf man’s Pretty Baby set the scene for the evening.

And giving us a few self -penned works including a rockabilly number Chevrolet shows the band’s versatility.

They finished off the first set with superb slide guitar on Feelgood’s Back In The Night.

The second set was equally full on with some up-tempo rockin’ numbers, imcluding a great take of Bonnie Raitt’s I Believe I’m In Love With You.

The final number was My Babe with an encore of Bright Lights, Big City and Stevie Ray Vaughan ’s The House Is A Rockin’. The Marauders again wowed the audience, just like they did at the Great British R&B Festival in Colne last year.
