Korova’s interesting nights

Korova Arts Cafe & Bar in Preston city centre will be turning to folk this Friday and Saturday, with two more of their regular music events taking centre stage.

On Friday night the venue will present their Open Lounge, New Folk Sessions, an opportunity for both musicians to come along and perform, with the night ending with a jamming session. Previous new folk sessions have seen an eclectic mix of acoustic guitarist,
violinist and accordion players.

Saturday night will see Saturday Accoustic @ Korova, with multi-instrumentalist and producer Natasha Lea Jones headlining.

She was once described by Liam Gallagher as being “real, and that’s cool”!

Here she will be playing songs from her new solo album Soar, supported by Preston based pop/jazz and acoustic artist Simone Villiers and Jess Harwood, a singer/songwriter from Blackpool.

Saturday Accoustic @ Korova will be twice a month from November, featuring rising talent from Preston along with signed artists.

On Bonfire Night Korova’s Lexical evening turns to poetry.

However the question that Terry Quinn, host for the evening, is asking is “what are we celebrating’?

There’s time to write and bring your poem along, share it in a friendly encouraging atmosphere and explore alternatives to Guy Fawkes Night?
