Soul II Soul’s classic and infectious sounds will bring a weekend of partying, dancing and chilling out to the
perfect close. Led by DJ Jazzie B (right), the group is currently celebrating its 25th year in the industry and to date has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide.

Two more acts have also been announced as part of Friday’s line-up. These are Manchester quartet The Tapestry, which after stints supporting the likes of Pete Doherty and The Strypes will be performing its own brand of dirty garage pop. And newly-signed Northern three-piece Berlin Berlin, which is celebrating the release of its debut
single, Josef. Joining the bill for Saturday’s line-up is Thugs on Wolves, taking to the stage with signature tribal beats, electronic surges and folksy harmonies.

Also new for this year will be the Chameleon Stage, featuring artists programmed by Manchester’s The Big Slice, which works to champion rising home-grown talent, including Rum Thief, acoustic folk singer/songwriter Matt Hamer and five-piece band Second Hand Wings.

For full line-up see Friday’s LEP.
