Jazz by the sea for Easter weekend

The Easter holidays are almost upon us which means the final countdown has begun to Fleetwood’s annual Jazz weekender.

Staged from Good Friday at the North Euston Hotel, the event is now in its fifth year and features a host of local as well as international musicians.

There are eight sessions in total, including two gala concerts. Friday night’s event, in the hotel’s main ballroom, features reeds ace John Hallam, right, while Tom ‘Spats’ Langham is the big name lined up for Saturday night.

Both acts will be accompanied by the Six in a Bar classic jazz band and tickets for the gala events are £10.

Prices for the other sessions range from £5 to absolutely free (that’s for the Wyre Levee Stompers in the Victoria Bar on Sunday).
