The vocalist, whose voice drove all the Inspirals biggest hits, split from the band, who were at the forefront of the 1990s Madchester scene along with Happy Mondays and the Stone Roses, in 2011 on bad terms.

Just six months after opening, this is the biggest gig yet for the St Wilfred Street venue and launches their Christmas season events.

Expect to hear Hingley’s acoustic remake of Top 20 tunes including This Is How It feels, Dragging Me Down and I Want You, along with tunes from his side project, Tom Hingley and the Lovers, in which he sings alongside former Fall bassist, Steve Hanley.

Inspirals first parted company in the mid 1990s but reunited in 2003 and have toured sporadically since before Hingley’s final departure two years ago.

The singer has recently released two solo albums through Pledge Music and comes to Korova solo for this back to basics stripped down acoustic show.

It’s a great chance to see the man and his music up close and personal.
